1. The CORPS of Cadets will give a presentation to at least 12 eighth-grade classes this year, as a recruitment effort for the CORPS of Cadets
2. The Corps of Cadets will provide "after school" service to at least two teachers each semester, from October to April by helping them clean, reorganize, transport, work on bulletin boards, decorate rooms or any helpful action requested. This will help the cadets to learn to serve others individually or in small groups and helps the teachers reduce their workloads.

/ OUR ROOTS
Old Taunton High School had a Army JROTC Unit until the mid. 1970's.
And then in 1998 a local Marine(retired) also known as "Red" Mason started a campaign to get a Marine JROTC unit in the school. No Marine units were available. Peter Corr and the school committee spearheaded the effort along with the Taunton City Council to establish an Air Force JROTC unit in the high school. Finally, the Superintendent and School Board successfully worked with the Air Force to establish a unit in 2000 resulting in the birth of the Taunton AFJROTC which was designated as: Air Force Junior ROTC Unit MA-20001.
1. The CORPS of Cadets will obtain a minimum of 2750 service hours.
